LinkedIn Carousel Posts: Structure, Design & PDF Best Practices
How to create LinkedIn document carousels that earn swipes: slide structure, hooks, brand kit, captions, and export workflow with PDF.
Carousels win on saves—not likes
Document posts reward clear slide-by-slide value. Viewers swipe when slide 1 promises a payoff slide 8 will deliver.
Slide structure (8–10 slides)
- Hook title — Bold claim or question.
2–7. One idea per slide — Headline + 2–3 short lines max.
- Summary — 3 bullets recap.
- CTA — Follow, comment keyword, or visit profile link.
Design principles
- Readable on mobile — 40 words max per slide body.
- Consistent brand — Logo, colors, fonts via Brand Kit.
- Contrast — Dark text on light slide or vice versa; avoid gray-on-gray.
Caption matters
The PDF does the teaching; the caption does the context and CTA. Generate caption + slides together in carousel generator (PDF export).
Posting workflow
- Generate carousel in app
- Export PDF
- Upload as document post on LinkedIn
- Paste caption
- Reply to early comments with extra resource
